Well I will post a few here. For those of us who don't really use Facebook all that much.
First of all the line up while letting tyres down.
On the way to the campsite we went over to the western side of the island and had a look at Bluff Creek, Deep Creek and Ungowa. This little lot are from there including the wreck of the Ceratoda and another wreck up Deep Creek.
We then headed across to the beach via an ice cream at Eurong while Guy and a few others kept going to Central, Lake McKenzie and Kingfisher.
Campsite with not many there yet.
All lined up on the beach the next day for a trip up to Indian Head, Champagne Pools, Orchid Beach Ice-cream Shop and Waddy Point.
The next day we headed north again, all the way to the top. A slight delay while some digging and snatching was done in the Ngala Rocks bypass track.
Then round the top, no visit to the actual lighthouse as it was getting some work done, see the scaffolding in this pic.
Ants on the sandhills.
Then on Monday we had to head home. Straight down the beach with Ben following us along. The Maheno seemed to have changed the angle of it's lie a little.
Eli Creek, didn't stay for long just walked down it then we headed off again.
Then came across a couple of guys setting up this contraption on the beach to cast out. Given how long it took to set up I think it would be much easier to just cast.
Not sure how far it even got out but I have seen people who know how to get a long way out just with a normal cast.
So an uneventful trip back from there.
Cheers,
Tim.
