Trip Leaders Report - Sunday August 16
A combined trip consisting of the GCLRO and Brisbane Jeep Club (BJC) assembled at Logan Village at 8:30am and set out for Logan state forest at 9 sharp.
The convoy consisted of
Rovers
2 x RRC
1 x D1
1 x Game
1 x D3
Jeep
4 x XJ
1 x TJ
2 x CJ
12 vehicles in all
A mixed group
Most capable Rover were the Range Rovers least was the Game thanks to its wonky carby
Most capable Jeep was David’s XJ least was Anthony’s Qudratrak CJ
Trip leader for the Jeeps was XJ David, I lead the Rovers and Mark D3 did a very good job as TEC – Thanks Mark
Power Lines are always a good sign of a fun day ahead
First up a hill climb - optional Mud hole was declined by all punters, no wonder it is a bad one, cars have been lost for days.
Dave's "New" D1 goes well
We spent the Morning doing the Loop Track, which I rate as Black with optional Red and Orange challenges to keep the RRC’s and XJ’s from getting board.
First of the orange, we found a Rock to have fun on
The RRC boy were having so much fun they went for extra credit on the next rock over
Moving on we finally found something that stopped Peter
Meanwhile at the back Mark Quietly shows just how good D3's are
I watched the Traction Control working a treat in this section
Wayne was having transfer case troubles with his V8 powered CJ
These boxes front and rear drive is selected separately and Rear just was not playing the game
Mean while the Game was punching above its weight, despite the carby handicap
With a little help, two shorties coming together to help out
Mel shows off the XJ's front flex ability
With "eyes" on all sides Mark pilots the D3 through the squeeze
It was a game of inches
Some times a game of millimeters
No Panel Damage - Great Job
"Nobody I know of has been up that rock"
Boys will be boys

Oh Good its just a Tail Shaft, I thought it was a crown wheel.
Some members had evening appointments, so the group split at about 1pm Mark lead the Leaving Group back out of the area whilst the remainder went to conquer the Lookout Track - Full on Orange. Thanks again Mark for taking the lead.
What a great view from the top
And the final word goes to Wayne who finally found Low range for both axles and shows us what a V8 CJ can do

The day concluded at the Logan Village Pub where a cleansing ale washed the dust down a bit and a few stories where shared.
Thanks to all who made a great day
Cheers
Gary

Freakin sweet pictures guys, Looks like you all had a great time. I forgot how good some of the tracks out there were, even if they are a tad short.
The look out track certainly looks different to the days I was out there.
The rocks look the same (i think).
There is a small creek run with some hard ledges that I recall out there aswell.
Definately keen to head out on the next trip, kinda spewing I didnt get back from byron in time and even if I did I had to attend a bbq.
I have been hangin to get out and about to more places close by, watching videos and pics is soo stressful for me right now
Glad you all had a good day! My cous Just bought a Jeep (Gary might like it, as its very similar to his own)
I rule!!!
2.4" of Pure FURY!!!
My Vid file was to large for Youtube.
Had to reduce footage, and will post tonight
Cheers Dave
