Sydney to Germany in a 110
Hi all, I thought I'd let you know about a young German couple (in their 30's) who've been in Australia for a while and are now in Singapore and continuing their drive from Sydney to Germany in what I think was a 2000 model 110 Td5. They are Tilo and Katrin Sigmund and are possibly the nicest young couple you could wish to meet. I took an instant liking to them. I bought some tyres from them when they advertised here. They've set up a website to follow their trip and have an email address as follows:
URL: www.bc43bx.net
Email: ktsigmund@tkgh.de
They were going to post a message here but I think they ran out of time what with all the preparation and work to do on the Def. I was hoping some of you could send your best wishes and advice on how to keep out of trouble and guessed you would find their website interesting.
cheers Gerald

Just let them know that Malwarebytes blocked their page
Perhaps they have something on their code that the software does not allow to open the page.
Cheers

Hello Katrin and Tilo,
I know it is early days but, You should be prepared for Kazakhstan and re-entry to Russia in the west. There are some real cunning bastards on the western Kazakh border and the Russian traffic police are out to get you no matter what. It is best for the female to drive in western russia. The police are a little less agro with women. Kazakhstan is a boring drive, flat grassland for ever. No hills, hardly any trees and few rivers. Been there, done that. I wouldn't look forward to driving in China. Having a guide all the time and a ristricted route sucks.
RR.
