    Hail damage..... assessment today

I took the Disco in to have assessed this morning. A crowd called Dentoway inspected it and they rekon they could do a paintless repait, even on the Alloy parts.
Was kinda of hoping they would bog and paint as the top coat is failing. So looks like I'll have a smooth surface to paint myself at a later time.

I would be asking an expert (not me) about popping out dents in ally. My understanding is it will stretch and may need annealing before working it.

P.S. I am missing a golf ball and one sock - if anyone has seen it...

I asked them at the assessment time and pointed out the Alloy.
They told me they could do it. So if it fails then the insurance can deal with it.

Doesn't the ally become brittle if not annealed and therefore might look good but not be a good repair.

I come from no level of knowledge other than the pile of Land Rover mags in the dunny.
(Will one of you experts help me here!)

Well that makes you an expert around here ,

i'm no panel beater but i have tried to straighten dents out of my old 2dr rangie panels and it is bloody hard to get them flat without stretching/ warping - near impossible i'd say without hours and hours of work by hand.
