Back from an extended road trip to Melbourne from Perth. We didn't take a Landy but did it strictly bitumen in a Volvo station wagon. It ran like a Swedish watch, actually. Awesome car.

Anyway trip highlights were a grey series 1 LWB in Peterborough, a lovely S3 SWB with the roof off in Robertstown. A new Puma 130 DC owned by the guy who looks after the ferry landing at Echuca, nicely setup. Betwen Echuca and Bendigo I saw a 130 and a 110 with a bonnet scoop. In the CBD in Melbourne I spotted at 110 TD5 fully decked with roof lights etc. In Grovedale a white 110 with roof mounted revers lights. You can pick up a 109 trayback in Narocoorte for $1000.. There's was a white 130 in Willmington with the plates "Landy" In Freeling there is a flower painted Stage 1 trayback. Out on Woolshed Flats where we were waiting at a rail crossing to see a couple of steam locomotives testing their boilers we got a return wave from a white 110 tray rocketing past.

The best spot of the trip was at the top of Little Bourke St outside our hotel, a black Rangie Sport fully kitted for touring including Engel and rear wheel carrier, plates "TDV8". Nice rig whoever you are.

The only two Landies apart from the Pume in Echuca we saw actually working were in Nooriutpa and in Apollo Bay, both 130 DCs.

If any of these sound lie yours, gooday from the West.
