That is no place for a caravan etc. I agree that the vehicle was ill prepared, but this does not mean that the caravan should be there.
Met a new Tojo 200 East of Old Andado Station with two men and two boys and a Kimberly trailer. Said they had done the Madgan East to West. They were near the twins (for those that have been there). Unfortunately for them there boasting rights are dashed, we continued in the direction they had came from to find they had turned around about an hour or so further on and looped back, no tracks further on. I guess they could have done it but why? Hope they arn't some heros on some forum somewhere!

How'd the old bloke get such a hot missus?
I read somewhere that those Cruisers have got the same fromt diff as the Hilux in them. Pretty easy to break, especially in reverse. The evidence seems to confirm it!
Been up there in a group of 4 Haflingers in early 1980 something. It was tough even with the Haflinger's high clearance & diff locks. At that altitude you are also 20% down on power if no turbo.
These guys are plain mad. Apart from the wrong image they create, it is downright dangerous. The camera does not accurately reflect the gradients.
Sometimes I am seriously embarassed to be a saffie!
