Slunnie, You should have fun for those hours of mindless boredom where you can think of other things to make for the Disco.

This is my toy for keeping the yard nicely trimmed.

32HP, 60" Deck. 4 acres in a bit over an hour. Expensive but means a whole lot more time doing other things like using the other toys in the garage.

    Hey Slunnie,
I bought a second hand 14HP Kubota from Orange City Council 10 years ago. I mow about 5acres around the house of Phalarus and rocks. Dual deck with very solid single bar. I have a few dings in the deck. It is still going strong. I rigged a 50lt spray tank which sits on the bonnet (I only half fill it) and a 4ft boom spray off the back. Great for all the cats heads (caltrops) we have. The pressurised oil system ensures longevity. I would like something with a blade for the driveway though.

    Cheers Steve.

I'll have to chip it when the grass drys out enough to actually use it!

Hmmm, actually I think the only thing electronic on it may be the engine hour meter.
    Cheers

    X340

How much did you end up paying for your new X340 if I may ask, I'm looking at getting one as well after well looking at the import idea and thinking it could well be just to much hassle...

Hi mate, I think it was $7600 which I think was about $1k off at the time. Very happy with it but have wished a couple of times for a diff lock when down in the paddock.
    Cheers

Slunnie why did you buy this at that price and not a second hand tractor? or is a tractor impractical?
