    Hang on the local ABC for the Wide Bay said
    A Queensland Coroner has recommended a reduced speed limit for hire cars on Fraser Island beaches in south-east Queensland.

    AULRO cars do not apply to this rule

    Mr Barnes also recommended annual safety checks on all vehicles, a lowering of the island's beach speed limit to 60 kph and the age of hirers of 4WD vehicles on the island be lifted to 25.
