Just off topic a bit, but I have to blurt it since the subject of Chinese crap just arose...
I used to think "If you buy a Magna, Mitsubishi 380, Hyundai or Kia etc, you really dont deserve to hold a licence coz you really lack taste in automotive choice and thats why we have public transport..."

Well havent things sunk to a new low now!! How much of a tightarse ijiot do you need to be to buy one of these!!!

I have actually looked at the dualcab they do, I prefer to call it a TriHilRodNavBra as basically thats all it is, a copy of every single 4wd ute on the market. D22 up front, Hilux style cab and a Rodeo rear end.

Funny thing is, the Gov now have an advertising campaign on checking the safety ratings before you buy as they cant openly say "HAHA You just bought a deathtrap that just lost 80% of its value driving off the lot and NO ONE is going to want to repair it as the oil filter is worth more than it..."

Still bugs me why they just didn't say "tough luck Wang Chung, you aint selling that crap in my country" and raise the requirements for safety ratings.
On one hand its "don't speed, you gonna die or kill someone" then they let the most unsafe, uber cheaply designed and constructed vehicle that struggled to get a 2 star rating loose on the market to unsuspecting inexperienced buyers.....

You get what you pay for and your better off spending it on bus fare I'm afraid.
Best be getting that steel bullbar on the D2 for ... ahem... some Chinese takeout!!

Hmmm Defender not listed (probably just as well). The old freelander was just 4 stars while its competitors were generally 4 star.

Still 3 stars is exponentially better than 2 !
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".
