wish i could say i had one mate but neigh ...congrats on realising you are human though mate, I am rebuilding the front end of the defender and i searched high and low for the bolts that go roof to bulkhead i bloody knew i put them somewhere safe i bagged everything else up and lablled it all to no avail .
This happened this morning and i was still at it this evening rebuilding elements of the dash and decided to put the headling back up ....found the bolts masking taped to the plastic moulding that goes down the window frame to the dash ...after sourcing some alternatives ..typical or what ...oh how i laughed !

Well, while I was degreasing the engine bay I had the airbox out & thought it wise if I put folded plastic bag over the airflow meter to keep it dry...... Good Idea . However trying start it after it was washed & NOT remembering to remove the plastic bag POP goes the meshy bit as the intake tries to get air.

Reminds me of the time I serviced my mums Corolla, I took the air filter out and there was a lot of crap sitting in the bottom of the air box. I put a rag in the pipe that goes to the throttle body to keep the crap from getting in while using compressed air to clean the airbox.

I don't think I need to say anymore.

Why not go to your friendly local camping store and buy 1X toaster replacement stainless mesh kit for about 5 bucks and cut it to shape.

The mesh is to align the airflow into the MAF so is relatively important unless you can organise the intake to be straight 300MM before the MAF.
