Bit like penguins they all look the same to me don't know how you can tell yous apart from the others at this stage of the game, sure later on when she is odler and you have had her for while, can understand how you can indentify her from the pack, but cute looking puppies all the same

Absolutely! Fay the breeder said that she has ribbons and nail polish on the pups for that exact reason. After doing that she can now tell which pups have been fed, wormed etc.

We used to have the same trouble with the Doberman pups we had many years ago. What we did is shaved off fur in different areas, often giving them a shaved stripe,in different places.

    It worked well.

We then matched it to a list with weights, feeding amounts, etc. And also a few may have been inspected by prospective buyers,or even sold.

You would be surprised, even when they are all the same colour ,when you are with them all day,you can often tell most of them apart, but there will always be a few that are very difficult to tell apart.

aren't polar bears endangered in the wild ???
After getting Doug the latest addition to the Brennan household i know what it's like ...have you got any others at the moment ?
I have issues with my bitch she is jealous of Doug if i give him a cuddle she tries to root him, must be a dominance thing and I cant see that happening when he gets older as he cracks the pooh's and has a go at her, I mean he feels emasculated poor bugger.
Are yours a spitz or some sort It looks like a blonde version of a Finnish spitz

Thats an interesting point Paul. I recall at school some friends who were twins. At first I for the life of me couldn't tell them apart, but later on they looked completely different to me.

I got Simba when I was still living at home, and mums dog was 6 months older and always tried to be the dominant dog - terriers! Simba was never a jelous dog, but she'd not be too happy if my mums dog was getting attention from me. Roxy like Simba is a Samoyed, very similar in looks to the Finnish Spitz, expecially Simba who always had a light coat, but the Samoyeds are a heavier broader dog at about 20-25kg and always white or whitish in the coat. I'm not sure how closely the Samoyed and Spitz are in their family, but I don't think they will be too distant.

    Cheers

    Young Roxy is here!

She's as cute as hell, hypo at times, mellow others. She's very quick to learn and is into everthing! She really has taken to dirty socks and sneakers.

She settled in vey quickly and every day becomes so much more comfortable with her new surrounding.

The first night on Friday was a fairly cautious one on her part although she loved to follow my mums dog around - I think this was really good for her. She settled in at night really well, though after the flight her drinking led to a few bedding material changes over the night.

Saturday saw hypodog come alive and she bounced all over the place like a kitten! She is still a young pup though and was either hypo or asleep. She's also worked out a system while in the cage to let me know that she needs a loo run which is working well.

Interestingly, on Sunday she was very mellow and just slept at my feet and also didn't mind being nursed. She also now rolls over for a belly scratch and is now sleeping on her back in the cage! Actually, she is happy to put herself to bed in the cage also which surprised me.

I think that she will be very at home. She loves chewing on a material doggy knot and the Kong drives her insane but she is loving it. Definately my little puppy. She is very smart though and works things out pretty quickly, the shyness will be well and truly gone shortly.

last night I let her sleep on the bed and wasn't that a laugh! She tried to sleep with her head on the pillow and at one stage I woke up with her wrapped around my head between the bed head. This morning she woke me up by jumping on my face and biting (very softly) my chin! We'll see how long this lasts for - not much longer I suspect.

Anyway, here are some of the puppy pics.

    Cheers
