Reminds me of years back - we had a Samoyed cross German Shepherd from about that size - we called her Rum (long story).

She started as a white ball of fluff, and grew to look like a white shepherd, though a bit smaller than the average shepherd, but with a pink nose and a samoyed's tail, which sometimes curled up above her back samoyed style, and sometimes hung down like a shepherd's tail.

Was the best dog we ever had - the kids came later and she was a natural guardian for both of them.

As a kid, I grew up around Shepherds and Keeshonds.
