Thread: How to buy your tyres cheaper

There's probably a few of you who know about this already, but thought it might be useful for others.

I made an enquiry online through Beaurepairs for some Goodyear MT/R's, and got a call this morning from head office. He gave me the prices down the phone and in email, but also gave me my online special price...quite a sizeable discount! You get them fitted at your local store, but the sale is processed through head-office. Here's a couple of examples of the quotes I got (copied and pasted). I hope this info is of use to someone out there anyway.



We have the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar in your size. We are able to provide them to you at $299.00 each (normal $340.50) 235/85R16

We have the Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar in your size. We are able to provide them to you at $332.00 each (normal $377.50) 245/75R16

including fitting, wheel balancing, gst & a new tubeless valve.

When we were searching, we were quoted $295 for the 235/85/16 MTRs

Ended up with the BFG KM2s for $283 fitted and balance, were quoted this price in Feb, when to this place in April and was re-quoted $299, mentioned the previous Feb Quote and he said OK I can do that, you just have to push that bit harder
