I was never a huge Sun0))) fan, never been big on prog or drone. That's a great video clip though.

Even though I don't love the music, or Xasthur for that matter, I was quite impressed with the live performance they did together.

How good were Arcturus! I saw them at their second last show, they were drunk as all hell on stage but still put on a great performance.

My favourite concert experience was when Opeth were supported by Virgin Black. VB stood in the dark, started whispering quiet chants before playing [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jspl2coJp0U"]YouTube- Lacrimosa (Gather Me) - Virgin Black[/nomedia]

Usually support acts get 20 odd fans in the front row and everyone else talks, goes to the bar, whatever. When VB played, the entire hall went quiet and everybody stood mesmerized.
And then of course Opeth did their thing.

I was devastated. I missed their last shows. In Adelaide it was Arcturus, Stargazer (godly!) and Virgin Black. That would have been a crushing show.

Have you heard Mournful Congregation? Them and Portal at Doomsday in Adelaide was the best show I have ever been to.

Oh and another killer doom band, from NSW is Murkrat.

Mournful Congregation has a couple of the fellas from Chalice, yeah? I haven't heard their stuff but reckon i'll like the sound of them from descriptions i've read.
I remember a few years ago I tried to buy Chalice CDs from JB, they had to import them from overseas even though the band was from Adelaide. Took them 2 months to get here even though JB claimed max 10 days for any CD. Disgraceful but highly prized in my collection now Did you see Chalice before they went splitzville? Wish I had.

Looks like another artist who's more of an experience than a performance live.
I see she has done art for Lycanthia, I dig 'em.

All three are from Victoria I think. Sydney tends to have more thrash less doom unfortunately.
Oh, and if you ever get to see Pod People, do it. Best stoner doom ever.

Yeah Mournful currently has Hartwig on guitar from Chalice. Some ex-members were from Chalice as well.

I never get anything from JB's any more. Once I ordered a CD and forgot I had. I got a call 3 YEARS after I ordered it. Cheaper to get them from online distros and quicker as well.
