Hi everyone, well I have finally worked out how to "Post" ( I hope ).
We ( my wife and I ) have just become proud owners of a Disco 3, and so far we are very pleased.
We would like to put the fridge in the back, maybe along side some REMOVABLE draws / shelf.
but before I can do that i will need to move the Rear Wheel from underneath to the back.
I was told that Kaymar have a rear bar and carrier ( it's about $2800 )
I was interested in the carrier without the bar option ( about $1400 and can't remember which company has this one ), but was told that they cut into the chassis and it would not be as strong as the Kaymar BAR and Carrier option.
any thoughts / info most welcome
We live in Melbourne ( Pascoe Vale )
Regards Ken
Cheers Baz.

Welcome Ken
And welcome to the D3 club...... you will find a lot of information in the D3/D4/RRS section of this forum, and probably find most of your questions answered before they are asked......
There are also a few......... any new Land Rover purchased, we require pictures and details..... how did you come by the vehicle, are you enjoying it, what model is it...... so on and so forth......
Enjoy the vehicle and enjoy the forum!
Hi Ken,
Welcome to the Forum.
Check out the FAQ's at the head of the D3/D4 channel. Plenty of wheel carrier options out there. The Kaymar is undoubtedly stronger, but it is also massively heavy compared to the single bolt through carriers. I have not seen any reports on the forum of SWC's pulling out of the chassis mount.
I have just installed a long range tank, and intend fitting the Dolium rear wheel carrier.
I also went with the Mitchell Bros hitch, even though the D4 has a less ugly version of the LR towhitch supplied.
