I know there have been a number of threads on importing stuff from the uk and often it is cheaper than buying in oz.
I am trying to find some 17 inch alloys for my d3. They are as rare as rocking horse poo here and when available are at least $300 per rim second hand. The poms seem to like fitting bigger rims to their d3's and as such I can buy a whole set cheap.
Has anyone imported second hand bits from the uk and had issues with customs wanting it cleaned etc and does anyone have an indicative cost to get 4 rims shipped?

Fedex quoted about $100 per rim but you could always arrange a shipping company to pick them up from the dealer and ship them

I was qouted 70 uk pounds per rim, from Brookwells, so i thought it best to fill a box and ship over the stuff, 5 HD defender rims, 1 HCPU tail gate, 110 FFR TUUM box's. side mounted blue light on pole, door rubbers, polos, and a box of Hendersons relish. that lot will be around 250 uk pounds.....
My old mans taking it to a local shipping company...
