    NASA Discovery

Here is a picture of the Disco that was damaged by the multi million dollar NASA Balloon that failed to launch in Alice Springs recently.

It has a fair bit of damage probably be a write off.

It was rediculous for them to be launching on a day with that much wind. The one they launched the week prior was perfect went straight up to 100k feet no issues don't think they sent the chase plane out for 2 days cos it didn't go very far. Apparently they used to have real trouble in the earlier days with this sort of stuff happening and that they had perfected it with the crane set up. One look at the disco would prove otherwise.

So what would happen if it hit and killed a person? Do they take these risks into consideration??

NASA would only ever kill 7 launch assistants not just one!

NASA = Need Another Seven Astronauts (assistants)

I'll sell you mine for $20,000

    (Probably cheaper than killing someone!)

    Thumbs up Act of GOD

Insurance could read ACT of GOD.

    God Awful Day.

On the other Hand it could stand for.

    Get Another Disco

Personally I prefer the second option.
