20 Mile only electric range will be so relevant to us who live in Australia
Read again people!
20 miles is on electric only, it's also diesel powered.
And yes, I too, require range if leaving town - however many commuters in cities would do around 20miles or less a day.
I'd be interested to know what proportion that use cars for commuting do less than 20 miles - I lived in Melbourne for 23 years, and during the period I commuted by car it was well in excess of this, same when I was going to University in Sydney. Considering that the urban area of all major Australian cities is well over 20miles radius, although there are certainly quite a few who commute less than 10 miles each way, there would also be a lot who do a lot more than this.

The short range extender electric motor works for the manufacturer as it allows the vehicle to score a low CO2 figure and high MPH figure in the government tests. We all know they are not relevant to real life driving which is the same as all such economy figures.
Looks more like a Lexus that a Land Rover.
Its not as simple as the knockers are putting it. You get 32km per charge. If you drive to work and its 25km or 30km, you can charge it at work, and therefore you get 60km for the day. 5 x 60 = 300km per week for nearly free. If that does not make a dent in your fuel consumption spending then your one of the 3% of people who cant use an electric car.
(as mentioned its also got a diesel engine which probably sips around 3.5L per 100 anyway so its a very good car)
