Talking of subscriptions
I have no idea why mine no longer says I subscribe. my sub doesn't end until the 27th May....
Dave do you know why it has disappeared from under my name?
Its not a big deal as I'm going to renew in 3 days anyway..however I would hate for people to think I dont support the site when I have been a silver subscriber for the last 2 years

I feel like throwing the monitor at the wall.

I've now switched the display mode to MobiPDA to change to a text-based rather than a GUI screen whilst I'm limited to 64kbps. That helps speed things up enormously (with no images).

I subscribe - I get an enourmous amount of benefit from this site - as soon as I worked this out I subscribed.
The ads are not that bad and some of them contain some good info. I tend to look at the ones that incite some interest - perfect advertising really.
They are nowhere near as invasive as some on the commercial newspaper sites: theage.com.au seems to have video ads that you cannot avoid (unless you avoid the site itself which I am now doing).
