Any good interstate removalists out there?

Hi All, Having just been shafted by a company that said it could take our belongings from Melbourne to Coffs Harbour on 3rd july, we desperately need someones help in recomending a quality interstate removalist who won't cost the earth.

The catch is, as well as furniture and stuff, they also need to take my builders trailer.

We are leaving Melbourne on July 19th for a 1+ year working holiday around this great land.

    PLease HELP

A removalist that doesn't cost the earth? That's like free beer I reckon ie non existent.

I have used a mob called Farraghers in the past and highly recommend them. They are based in Newcastle.

I used a good bunch of removalists last weekend (forum members) but was told in no uncertain terms that I was never to move again

    Good luck.

You may have more options if you send your builders trailer with a transport company specialising in boats or similar and not trying to have 1 company quote on both.

    Good advice, I would say.

In general though, as with everything else, you get what you pay for. I would suggest K.L.Kent, or Allied Pickfords.

    Cheers,

Watching this thread with interest, as I'm moving from Melbourne to the beaches north of Cairns in October.

Would the builders trailer fit in a shipping container? Just a thought.
