    Circuit road....which way?

Hi all...need someone familiar with the circuit road around Mt Sterling.
From telephone box junction to speculation road....which is the best way...the north or south road? (distance, condition of road, corners and timeframe all being factors)

    cheers

    Hi,

left goes to craigs i think amongst some other tracks then onto binderee

right is i think a quicker way to binderee.

but it has been a while for me.

six of one and about a half dozen of the other.......

the northern half is probably the better road but because of this it likely gets more traffic (hazard in itself on that type of road) and can be in worse condition. (corrugations etc.)

Can't really give you travel times for both halves without going back through my track logs but I'm never in a hurry when I'm up there and often choose on a whim.

Toss a coin at Telephone box junction and if your returning that way go the other one for a change of scenery on the way back.

    to hijack...

Heading to Pikes Flat on Friday which I think is on 16 Mile Jeep Tk south of Bindaree Flat. Parks said if we ask nicely we'll get through the toll gate at Mirimbah free to take the Circuit Rd. When speaking with Mt Buller Cust Service line, she states once staff are at the gate on Friday (late morning) you'll be charged the normal entry fee - $35 per car. Others come across this?

We'll be heading in via Sheepyard Flat, Brocks Rd by the looks of it.

i have found that when we have the van in tow, they dont normally charge us ..............

but then again it would depend on who's at the gate

i'm going in that way on friday as well... friday afternoon . Might see you around there Signal, camping in amongst that area somewhere... if there is room.

I didn't know about the charge, I usually don't go that way or at least am in before friday.

35 per car when any other weekend is free, thats rude.

Thanks for the notice! I'll take the plates off before going through not stopping

If you see a white D2 Td5 with LROCV stickers front and back by all means stop and say hi.
