Mechanic recommendations South Australia
Can anyone recommend a Land Rover friendly / knowledgeable mechanic for servicing my Defender in South Australia?
Thanks,
Dave

There are a couple down here the first off of the top of my head is Triumph rover Spares. I have always had good service from them, they aren't the only ones though, i haven't used any of the others yet though.

There are a few around.
Any particular area you are looking at?
I know of / have used a couple for my Disco.
Profix Modbury - not specialists, but very knowledgeable, reliable & reasonably priced.
British 4 x 4 - Windsor Gardens. Mate uses & swears by them.
Adelaide European Mechanical - Grote Street, Adelaide. Top quality work. The 2 owners / mechanics did their time (20+ years) at Prestige Walkerville when they had the dealership. Not cheap, but they know their LR's.
There is TRS at Lonsdale, or Lens Land Rovers at Pooraka. I haven't used either of these personally.

Name is Peter Brown, he has a wicked 130 TD5 and knows his cars, he does my mates and does very good job.
I think he is just off Marian rd, I tried all the ones above and found them all good but always had some issue.
Sovereign which is in town, is verygood but they charge, $120p/h from memory.
British has done a few of my cars and is good, well priced but forgetful, like nuts not done up and sloppy.
TRS at Lonsdale talk the talk, have all the parts but get apprentices to do all the work and have also been sloppy, like not doing up hose clamps, using old ones, loose battery connection, forgetting to change oil filter on service yet charging for it.
That sort of stuff.
I guess no one is perfect so the basic stuff I do now and get mechanics to do the real spanner work.
