Right on time. Isn't next weekend the official opening of the ski season?
For those of you silly enough to venture to these colder regions don't forget to fill up those diesel tanks locally to ensure you get Alpine mix diesel. Apparently there is already 5cm at Hotham with 25cm expected before the weekend.

Roger
Queens Bday Weekend is the official ski season open, which is of course this weekend if you live in Vic.
Coming from WA and due to our sunshine, not experiencing the joys of sticking your tongue on your windscreen to see what it actually does as your thermometer is shot......
What is alpine diesel?????
Cheers Baz.

The refinery whacks in more butane to aid startability and in really cold places they do other things to reduce wax formation and fuel thickening. Friends in Omaha, Nebraska add a couple of gallons of unleaded in every tankful in the depths of their winter. Funnily, they consider South Dakota to be a cold hole. Everything is relative I suppose.

Will be getting some in Mansfield. Also tried the snow chains on so am ready to drive through the white stuff.
The instructions for snow chains say the rears, i would have thought the front??? Although I have a rear locker so probably better there anyhow.
Correct Hymie.
Thats what i thought, but the instructions for fitting suggest rear for offroad use. I'll be offroad in the snow... no tarmac.
but i think i might go with fronts anyhow.
