Went out to buy a tree trunk protector...

... and bought a Toyota Rando-kurūzā instead. It's a July 1985 70 Series Trayback. 290,000 on the clock, I don't know if its a 2H or a 12H until I decode the VIN a bit. Bit of rust, bit rough, but mechanically its OK and its got a full canvas for the tray which gives me somewhere to camp off the ground to boot.

Yes, I know this ain't the place but I don't have the anti Land Cruiser disease. Love the metal dash, long bonnet, straight six diesels... plans are to get it RWC and rego'd, put some muddies and a winch on and call it a day.

One can only guess what sort of shop it was that sells tree truck protectors and rusty old cruisers.

Did you get the tree trunk protector, or is the jap what's-it-called going to be used for winching off?

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Hmm looks like you can turbo these things for about a $1k, lots of different companies putting kits out.

Although I think the first one is a 12H-T, sounds DI.

    I'm excited
