What do you think AULRO is for ?

i come here to have fun :D

but i also find the info that go's around the site to be the best on the net for Landy's new or old ;)

I think it is far better to be here and hear LR knocked by folks that understand them, drive them, fix them, experience them; than it is to be on a forum elsewhere where they knock LR because of peer driven myth and a lack of the aforementioned understanding, ability, knowhow and experience.

Reality driven knocking beats myth driven knocking anyday of the week... :D

Cry me a river. People wouldn't complain about their Land Rovers if they were as reliable as Toyotas :D
I love Land Rovers (the real ones anyway) but I've got no problem accepting that they are severely flawed.

That's changing now, too. I would sooner spend time working on and driving a loveable vehicle than a soulless one. I grant that Japanese 4x4's on the whole are yes very reliable, but have no driver enjoyment and as such I don't really want one. I have quite a few customers that have driven a D2 or Defender 130, and then ditched their LC80 or LC75 series in favour of.

My apprentice who has moved to outback mainland has bought a new Nissan patrol tray for a work vehicle, it has spent quite a bit of time in the dealership with oil consumption issues etc already.

The current crop of Nissan and Toyota offerings are now proving to be quite troublesome, so soon there won't be any grounds for 'Landy Apartheid' in outback and rural areas.

Just need some product support and LRA will be off and running:)

An opinion probably not shared with many here. I'm having many dramas with my Defender - but I do consider it to have soul. Wouldn't put up with it otherwise. :)

I wonder how long a 23 year old considers to be "a long time". :p

Some of us are old enough to remember when Series Is were brand new. They have soul and that didn't seem very long ago.

We were out in the workforce when there were still Series IIs in dealer showrooms. They have soul and that time seems quite recent.

We were contemplating retirement when Defenders appeared. They have soul and that time seems like just yesterday.

My '73 Series III had soul. My '98 Defender has soul.

Obviously I either have a longer memory than you or else I am more easily impressed. :D

So does this mean Inc is god?
