    Sorry Guys Off Topic Query

    Need some advice, we have an old Dodge D5 400 series truck, its an offroad use do everything kind of thing, doesnt leave the property so its not road legal, in any case we are having issues with it continually shearing the wheel studs of the front hubs, I did a rudimentary toe in toe out ajustment today just it case it was maybe something to do with it, it does everything from carrying wood to dirt for road use, would overloading the thing do this ? its not breaking the rear studs just the front ones, appreciate any ideas on how to cure this, Cheers

    Used one of these years ago and never had an issue despite abusing it.
    Are the wheel nuts tight? or has there been some event in the past where its been used with loose nuts.
    Either that or some clown has stretched the studs by over tightening them?

    I would also check the rims are sitting absolutely flat on the hubs, it's varying stresses from rotation that snaps studs.

    Are the hubs on the right side? IIRC the left hub has left hand threads. Are the nuts/studs being run up against anything. It's pretty hard to overload the front axle to the point that the studs will fail.
