    Lard arse!

    Well I was driving around the plant today seeing some people.. The usual...
    And figured I'd take my D2 (MY00.5) across the weighbridge to see what she came in at...

    Vehicle is:
    TD5 Disco 5 seater
    ARB winch bar + XD900 with Amsteel
    Custom rear steel bar
    155l Main and Aux, Longranger tanks --- 1/3 full at the time
    Rear draw system with maybe 20kg of gear in the draws..
    Empty Waeco 50L
    18's with 33" rubber
    Shovel (like that matters)
    Second battery is NOT in vehicle at the moment
    1 x lardy arsed driver....

    Vehicle weight...

    2740kg....

    And it isnt even fuelled up or packed for a trip

    And D3/D4 guys worry theirs are heavy

    if i remember right ours which only has a winch bar (no winch) weighed in at 2.4t

    Discos are very heavy especially compared to the deefer

    Well my Deefer weighed 2800kg when I had it (without camping gear or me in it)

    Lightweights. When we went up the cape in 85 in the Forward Control I thought I would put it over the bridge for interests sake. 2.5 ton on front and 2.5 on rear.
    Recently we put the 6x6 FC over the bridge, same weight, 2.5 on front axle and 2.5 split between the two rear axles.

    Yeah my Disco I comes in at 2750 from memory steel bar winch longrange tank dual batteries but that is all that could really add to the weight

    our defender without the camper on with the duel tanks 2 spares and recovery gear etc etc weighed in at around 2400
