I consider a Landrover to be like a front row forward, slow and heavy but will just keep on going.
At least with a Landrover we can load them up and not have to worry about being over our GVM just by filling the tanks like a 200 series would.

Not as chubby.
We'll fokes. I'm proud to say I drive a soccer mum's car (D2 2003 V8) and it weighs just over 2000 kg. All original - DVD and Tow ball. I also read the manual to see what they should weigh (2800 kg - WTF). Until I went over the weighbridge I was assuming I had a fair bit of nudging capacity for busting up traffic congestion...800 less now. Some of the fuel economies for the lumps of lard must be like sh............ Also noticed on Redbook the economy should be around 22/km - once again WTF, easy 5 less for city travel unless you are constantly giving it a boot full.

Just looked up the specs from the hand book - Tombie, with coil suspension you are fully loaded ??
For the D2

For the Defender.

I took our Defender across the weigh bridge yesterday and with myself inside, full fuel tanks (190 litres), full water tank (45l) and our fridge came in at 2540kgs. Taking off the fridge, 115l of fuel fuel and myself, that would be under 2300kgs unladen weight.
