I'm going to get mine done at the end of August, but as I last claimed on the 8 July 2008 I have to wait until after the 8 July 2011 before I put the claim in.

I checked again and they said that they may ask for more information as it is on the same car. Stuff like the serial number of the old tank and the new tank, photos of the old set up and the new set up, check it was done by a reputable installer, that kind of thing.

The only downer is that I will not be able to post my success until the rebate drops too low for any one else to bother trying.

The nice people at AusIndustry have drawn a time line which explains it better than me.

I have taken out my gas system which was installed in my old 93 Disco nearly 3 years ago now (brand new system).I have a 95 Disco now and want to have it installed. If i get it installed and the cost is $1200 do i only get the $1200 or the full $1500 rebate back?
    Thanks

The rebate is a full $1500, PROVIDING you can prove you have paid for the lpg system and the installation i.e. sell it to the installer and get him to sell it to you on his invoice. In my gas business I sell the customer the used parts less a trade-in value, seems to work.
