The climate may well be changing or as the chief of the Water Corp in WA dared to say "it may just be a warming phase which won't last long". Of course he was well and truly abused for not believing the so called "accepted science" but what is it?
Is it the crap out about by pollies to get more tax out of us (I believe so personally) or is it the crap and distorted graphs and modelling put to those same pollies as evidence by scientists who rely on government for their budgets which again comes from the poor old long suffering taxpayer?
There's just as many very well qualified scientists around the World who are deeply sceptical of the hocus pocus garbage being spouted at very expensive conferences in exotic parts of the World attended by all those charlatan pollies and their hordes of hangers on all slurping out of the same trough.
We should all pollute as little as possible, from those that chuck their fast food crap out the window to big industry and it's "anything goes" attitude in their pursuit of the big dollar.
And anyway, why should taxpayers of Western countries be the ones to pay the bill yet India, China and other so called emerging nations get to continue doing what they please?
And if it really is carbon doing the damage why are place like Brazil, Indonesia etc. allowed to destroy huge tracts of rain forest which according to real provable evidence, take the carbon in the atmosphere?
I'm glad that idiot KRUDD has gone but think the beast that now inhabits the Lodge will be even worse, goaded on by her union mates.
Alan.
God someone from WA and sane. :wasntme: what next !
I like the cut of your jib !
Take a look at how much $$$ Al Gore has made. His company is geared up to make even more out of the american version of our ETS if it gets through.
Without a doubt there will be plenty of labour party mates doing the same here.
The Indian head of the UNs IPCC just also happen to be the head honcho of a carbon credits trading comany.
Draw your own conclusions from that as to why he's very enthusiastic about sounding the death knell of all mankind if we don't pay up and fast.
Alan.
I'm not a sceptic but i do believe the earth goes thru cycles as it has been shown to but there is no doubt we humans have had some impact on our planets weather cycles.
ETS came into effect yesterday in New Zealand. A litre of petrol is 2.5c per litre dearer (approx NZD1.80) and diesel is up to 3cents a litre more exxy (approx. NZD1.20). Bit of a cop-out really. Agriculture contributes approx 50% of our emmissions but is not directly ETS'ed... a strong lobby group...
I id not know that I had presented it as evidence. It must have been in a link I gave without reading the link throughuhly. SoI am in trouble for not examinging my links more carefully before I gave them--Sorry.
I may agree with that Chart, but would have to study it first to see if I agree or disagree. Certainly I do not dispute the Bible's recorded ages for the Antidiluvians. Other ancient cultures recorded great ages--And not the same ages as the Bible records.
But I did not realise that chart would come up. I thought I was going to discuss whether or not the Weather is changing--must read things morecarefully in the future.
Yes supply is limited. We only have about 1000 years of fossil fuels if we wanted to turn all of Australiaia's coal into Deisel--we have technology to do that. And we can easily turn wood into coal within a year if we want to do this.
We basically have coal seams up to 800 feet thick, from central Queensland to south of Kiama NSW, and it goes 200 miles out to sea, under the ocean floor. Trouble is most of it would be very expensive to mine.
All through inland Australia are wells drilled which struck fossil fuel--oil, etc. But these are uneconomical to extract it at current oil prices.
So do not let them say there is a shortage of Fossil fuel--there is not a shortage.
