Good thread!
Just at the same time my working mate from Austria wants to buy a Unimog 411 ( the "BIG" version with 32bhp).
Driving MAN KAT s
at rally raids still left me with a heavy appetite fof the bigger toys. So, I started to look at a 406, built somewhere mid 70-80 s.
With weight between 2.3-3.5to, my wife could
drive it with a normal driving licence. And it should be much easier to get it shipped to AUS.
Does anyone know, if I run into troubles because of LHD and VIC roads?
Does anyone fancy one as well?
Cheers marc
Great pics,
The only problem with mogs is where do you park them when your in town?
Macca's bus parking?
Awesome machines, but you must realy want one to get one, they seam just a little more unpractical than practical.
Muz
thats crazy, it looks like its almost 2.4m high without wheels.
Is that almost the same as a defender?
On a side note does anyone know what the roof height is of a defender with a 2 inch lift on 33's. will it fit in a garage?
G'day Muz
A 406 would be easy to ship, just drop the cabin canopy, lower the windscreen and drive it into the 20 footerthey are petrol from memory but will easily take a Merc car 5 pot diesel I am told but an Isuzu 4BD1 should fit
cheers
