A mate grabbed me some Inox when I requested Lanox for rust protection of the Defender.
Now, I know Inox has no lanolin whereas Lanox does, but is there much difference between the 2 for rust protection? Should I be trying to get the Inox replaced with Lanox?
Inox will dry off over time. I don't know if Lanox does. Inox doesn't seem to do anything nasty to rubber, at least not that I've noticed.

Lanox works fine but then again I know heaps of people who use Inox on guns to keep rust away so it must work.
I "think" Lanox is more durable (less likely to wash away etc)
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

I have both. Lanox is thicker and I use it on metal bits on by kayak and pedal drive. Inox I use for the electrical connectors. Even after some significant drenchings in salt water all the treated pins/contacts are nice and shiny.

As said :
Inox for electrical.
Lanox for the rest including fishing gear. Inox gives off a scent fish can smell, Lanox does not.

Do you really take bananas on a boat? Are you not afraid of angering the Gods?
I remember once finding a few cans of XXXX lager stashed in the bottom of an esky when fishing for barra on the mighty Ord. Everyone on board panicked but we threw them onto the bank away from the water and the fish came back on the bite. They were yellow and they were from Queensland and we weren't taking any chances.
