Well that certainly is taking superstition to a whole new level. Of course with bananas you're supposed to throw them over the side, with your back to the side, so you throw over your shoulder. I notice you still kept the tinnies :P
On the other hand, I still think that would have been a good solution for getting rid of the XXXX's![]()

I’ve used both Inox and Lanox and I also have pure lanolin in a squirt bottle.
As posted above, all these work well in one field or another BUT the best stuff I’ve come across and use everywhere is PROTECT-IT.
It’s made here in Australia and is marketed by Briggs & Stratton and can be bought through Lawn Mower outlets.
It lubricates, penetrates and displace moister, so good for anything.
when I was a digger Inox was fantastic for cleaning weapons, got right into the areas that held carbon that only sergeants inspecting could find and it could be gotten in a small can which fitted in your basic pouch. there used to be a saturday morning fishing/boating show which endorsed it, I think called Chris Conways world or something like that and he used to say it was the best australian product after the hills hoist. I always have a can of it with me. I believe Lanox sells very well in NZ.
something to do with sheep I heard.....
