There isnt realy a PERFORMANCE head for a diesel, same with camshafts.
Diesels take their slurp and deal with it.Its all in the injection intercooling aftercooling(in BIG diesels) and boost,VERY different to a PERFORMANCE petrol head.

i beleive you can kind of do performance mods.. but not quite like a petrol...

the alisport bowler in LRM last month had the head ported and worked on as well as a charge cooler instead of intercooler.. looked pretty mean

Yeah he did say the fuel cooler was fried in the incident, He didnt elaborate. I went down to have a sticky while the heas was off an I kinda wish I didn't. It was a mess, it must have gotten so hot. Alot of the wiring around the engine had melted shrouding and the No1 piston was only about 70% there it had melted down to the first ring.

It makes no difference as the engine is now running on the diesel mixed with the sump oil.Removing the key as reported makes no difference. If you are lucky with a manual you can stall it before the revs build, after that it will just fry the clutch too.
There are in sump oil level gauges. My grader has one,I dont use it I check the dipstick EVERY morning. If its not on level ground it reports either over full or low.No substitute for a physical check on any vehicle. If its suddenly got 1" more on the stick you will see it and save your engine.

    Hey Robbo
I would be much more concerned about one of my 2 TD5s revving to death. It would hurt my pocket more.
