Thread: New Defenders?

Hi everyone,

This is the first thread I've posted. I currently own a disco2 V8 and am looking at upgrading. I am considering the new Defender 110 Crew Cab and wondered if anyone has any experience with the new Defenders since they have the new 2.4 TD engine. Or anything else to look out for. Also do most of the after market goodies from the TD5 Defenders still fit the new model? Thanks. Dan

Hi and Welcome to another West Aussie.

There is a lot of talk on here about the new Defenders. Many members had the early models and they have not been without their traumas to put it mildly. Many seem to have made a lot of warranty claims. There is a feeling that since 2007 they have got on top of most of the problems.

Do a search here for "puma" which is the name the new ones are refrred to by here (Ithink it is the codename of the engine or something).

All Defender owners love their cars but there's quite a few who hate them at the same time.
