Not sure of your travel arrangments LRO, but generally you can catch the bus from the Jollimont Centre which is in Civic (ie Canberra city centre). Jollimont is the Canbera terminus for the buses. Between the airport and Civic there is the National Gallery and the War Memorial. Could while a away a couple of hours at either place without much trouble. Certainly would be worth while seeing if you can board the bus in Civic rather than the airport.

Yep, bus would leave from Jolimont Centre. There is a Deanes bus into the city every 20 - 30 mins. If you walk about 150m to Brindabella Park - sort of at the back of the servo, or opposite the great big 1/2 round hanger, it only costs about $3.00 instead of about $10.00. Typical airport rip-off. Or its ~$15.00 in a cab. You can also get some ACTION buses at Brindabella Park, just make sure it's going into the city, not outwards, as they all go the same direction in that complex.

And x2 for last post. Plenty to do in Canberra - War Memorial, Museum, National Library, Parliment Houses etc etc... No need to stay at airport all day. And once you are in the city, easy walking about, or plenty of buses/cabs etc.

ps. What will you do if the waggons not your cuppa tea?

    Cheers

    Andy
