Rear E locker would be a must I would think for you, but I will leave much more knowledgable people to answer the rest!

Hope the test drive goes well.

may well be worth posting in the specific D3/D4 section.

As said D3/4 section is a good place to start. I have a mate with a 100 series Sahara, 2- 3 inch lift, diff locks front and rear and 33 MTRs. I find that I can keep up with him in my D3 with Grabber ATRs and a rear factory locker. The D3s capability is amazing.
As for must haves this will depend on your usage. Like the cruisers having the spare under the floor is less than optimal so a spare carrier is worth considering. If you move the tyre the upside is that you can put ~100 litre fuel tank under there instead.
A snorkel is worth considering but no more more so than with a cruiser.
I've not driven a D3 without a rear ediff so can't comment but it is a relatively cheap option that can't be fitted once delivered.
Other options will depend on your use and are no different from any other vehicle
Feel free to PM me if you want any more info

Had a drive of a D4 3l the other day & it was absolutely fantastic.Apart from the smoothness, quietness, etc, the punch of the 3l is absolutely amazing.

Let us know how the test drive goes.

Coopers have some new style tyres for the D4,&RRS,sort of A/T,apparently,but doesn't look like they come in 19's

The tyres are an issue, there are heaps of threads on them here, search is your friend.

Your right, the car is absolutely fantastic.....

The ARB D4 bar is very very close to release, and August is looking likely. The prototype has been spotted on a vehicle being driven around Melbourne.

Not sure where Kaymar are at with the rear bar.

There is a group buy being set up in the D3/4 section for the manufacture of an 18 inch rim that will fit the D4 3.0 ltr. Price is very reasonable as well. I dont think you will get a simex or swamper in 18 to fit but there are muddies around for the 18's. I think goodyear do a 19 inch mtr that fits as well.

There are a couple of ways to lift the vehicle from extended rods which can be changed in and out within a few minutes, (See gghagis for this (and the rims), to an electronic override module that is again close to being finnished.
