VERY SWB SER3 with a timber hardtop

    The things people do.
Saw a ripper of a Landy Clone today.
    One of a kind.

    G'day LandyAndy

Cool looking Moke they used to make a ute version with a fibreglass ute hardtop, and a tray, neat looking vehicle, the tray overhung the rear body about 12 inches, they would be rare now.

    cheers

Not as rare as you might think. I have a couple. There's one on carsales that isn't selling and I'm always spotting them about the place. I have a photo of one in WA which the owner hinged the back and put a hydraulic ram at the front converting it into a tipper.

Oh, and most were a soft top. The hardtop was after market.

And if i'm not mistaken somewhere in the dim and distant past a 4x4 moke was done as the american army (what a surprise) were looking at an all terrain vehicle that was small and light.. so they made a 4x4 version.. it wasnt very succesfull as it got hung up on pebbles only in america...

If i also remember the drivetrain appeared in a 4x4 cooper... and used for rallying.. no centre diff used to wind it up quite nicely and provide a boot out of the corners...
