    So what about a Puma?

I've just sold the 130 and can't believe that anyone would buy secondhand rather than new at the current prices.

It seems to me that if you want to get a Defender that's of sufficient mechanical/physical condition you're likely to be shopping north of $15,000. Add to that maintenance (that doesn't include oil change type service) of, say $2,500 for three years (low in my estimation, I'd guess $10,000 for three years) and you're at $22,500 in the first three years if you're lucky.

By then I reckon your resale value is probably at about $10,000, so you're out $12,500.

Buy a new 110 at $39,900. Service costs are about the same unless you usually do it yourself. Maintenance costs should be zero during warranty. At the end of three years what's it worth? I reckon at least $25,000, so you're out $15,000.

So, in my mind over three years the difference is probably $2,500.

Damn I'm going to go out and get me one now.

$39990? Is that a typo? As that would be about $16000 less than normal new price.

I was thiking that will be $50,000 + which it is equal to 3 110 Tdi 300 Defenders with 120k like mine.
No way mate, I keep my Defe and use the other 40,000 for a nice trip

    I do not lie.

Check it out on Carsales. I couldn't find a 7 seat 110, but found no shortage of 110 crew cabs and 130 single cabs, and 130 dual cabs.

All listed as, 'demo' models, but the Kms were tiny. Close enough to new for my liking.

Edit: And I thought you'd all be questioning my repair figures.

When we were in Perth last week, new 130 HCPUs were advertised $39,990 drive-away.
