    Earthquakes - rock n roll

    Just had a good one here in the lower North island. Seems centred in the south Taranaki Region. For those interested in looking at this interactively go to the geonet website home page and click on interactive for the next hour and see the shake show up on the sensors scattered over the country... good for the interested. The shake hasn't been analysed yet but I would say around the 4 magnitude mark or shallow...

    grew up with them and love the reminder of life on a thin crust...
