ron, for god's sake,
why on earth would you want to buy a dead d1?????
i have two going d1's one v8 with some modifications and a diesel stock,
believe me you do not need it.....
Why?
There's always room for one more.
Ron unfortunately your 4.6 short will not bolt into a D1 without a 4.6/20AM MAF, a CO trim wiring/pot modificaton and a new 4.6 Fuel Map/EPROM or a piggyback back fuel chip so you can use the D1's ECU.
If your getting sick of that old 4.6 short taking up space PM me.
Cheers
So the offer on the P38a still stands? Excellent.![]()
Thanks, Cockie, for that info.
Re the 4.6, I still might get a 110 in the future. I could leave the carbies on it....
I've pretty much decided against it. I'm still not up to doing much after my recent bowel op (I'll see the surgeon this week to find out what I can do and when I can start). I have so much to do around here.
I don't know how long I'd take to get the D1 back on the road and, even then, if I can afford to put it on the road. We already have 3 registered cars and 2 registered motorbikes (with a third bike ready to be registered) and I'm no longer working. The combined rego and insurance costs are already quite high.
I still have the IIA to get on the road, too.

What would life be without a Rangie?
If I had a bigger block of land and shed I wouldn't hesitate, Brad, but Elisabeth is already concerned about the non-working garden ornament in the backyard (the IIA).
I still have to clean out my garage, to complete the reapirs to the garage that I started last December just before I fell off the ladder and stuffed my shoulder, to sell/dispose of all of our late son's stuff, etc. - more than enough to keep me busy for a while. I also need to sell all the stuff I no longer use, e.g., my electronics stuff which is now worth bugger all.
