At least the driveshafts didn't fall out.

A buddy of mine who is a paramedic is currently in WA for the safari rally doing the on scene medic bit for the riders/drivers.
I got two text messages from him yesterday, the first to say that it was day one and he was off to have some fun.
Just before I went to bed I got the second message saying that at the end of the first day that 2 of the Prados that they were given as support vehicles were retired for mechanical reasons. The first one's engine seized and the second did a front diff.
Must say I had bit of a chuckle and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
At least the driveshafts didn't fall out.

As I have said before " O how the so-called mighty have fallen " but then duped Aussies will still buy them.
im not a big fan of the new prado, just looks like a less masculine 200 series which is also very ugly.
Older shape looked better but was still a shopping trolley.

I'm not a fan of the new one either. Will be able to tell you first hand what they're like shortly - apparently my new work vehicle is a new Prado.
I've had one x 90 series diesel and three x 120 series petrol Prados in a previous job, so will be interesting to see how the new one compares. Pretty sure I'm getting a diesel again this time.
Cheers .........

Brian,I was in one the other day and they have more weight with the same engine.Like the 200 series and D4 I think they are a backward step from the previous models. Pat
i saw a new Prado the other day covered in Red dust - looked ok like that!
I had a drive of one belonging to a friend. I reckon my Defender has better handling and steering and the blind spot caused by the huge A-pillar is downright dangerous.![]()
