Gee, that sounds like an average day as a parts interpeter/phone person in the great days of Leyland Aust. in the 60's and 70's in the big smoke everything wanted yesterday if not sooner, and what you put on their order/invoice was not in any way, shape,or form as to what the warehouse staff dispatched but, we heard about it when it arrived well the part No's looked alike was their defence

    cheers
So you had all the parts hoarded in Sydney, did you, Ho. No wonder Truck and Bus in Brisbane was always in trouble with the clients because of the "no parts department".

know that feeling mate, we get people calling up for stupid reasons aswell. Had one chick ring up histerical saying come quick come quick. i asked her to calm down and tell me what was happening and where she was and she hung up.

Rang back 5 mins later even more histerical and just screamed the address at me and told me to tell the car crew to hurry up (given she didnt give me an address the first time they werent on their way).

She then rang back a third time and abused me because we were taking so long.

its hard to send a car crew round to an address and consider officer safety when the person wont tell you whats going on.

Turns out her brother, who has a mental illness, was ****ed as ten monkeys was running around and lying in the middle of the road.

Some people just have no idea.

Yep a typical day in Darwin.

I lived with that for 30 years in the top end - 13 in Katherine rest in Darwin. you can have weeks of that but you can also have quieter times. She is a rather intense place I must admit but I love it passionately, my kids and a grandkid are still living up there although my youngest is thinking of moving south to be closer to dad.

Take that 6 pack and go down to buffalo creek sit and watch the tide go by and by the time you have finished the world is a better place.

    just watch for breathos
