Yes I will concur with Lucky 8.......I bought the detroit for my rear Salisbury from them, and they were much cheaper than anyone here.I think delivery was about 8-9 days. But to keep transport cost down, they take it out of the bulky packing and put it in a flat post box.

The op lock store quoted me about $1600 for a detroit full and a bit less for the true track. But the detroit E locker was also about $1600. Thats for 24 spline disco diffs. I like the E locker because I am not convinced with a hard core unlocker like the full detroit as it will interfere with driving on the road. So I am thinking true track up front and E locker in the back.
Op lock are a very small franchise compared with bunnings and coles, and even they have price differences between stores. The only difference is that with a locker you are very likely to travel half an hour further to save $500.
thats $1600 fitted right for the detroit?:(
No plus around three hunj for the mech install and 450 for the E locker, so I was looking at approx 2k per unit. I commented on the largish tag but he seemed to think it was about right, but given that the E locker is the same price, its better value.
But see here Lucky8 Llc. - Take the road less traveled...
the true track is $498 USD which is close to AUD ATM, full detroit $598, but no E locker. $1100 is cheap for both ends done.
Same as several others here ,went to lucky 8 got a detroit( excellent service thank you:)) and cost me just under $400 to get it fitted(with exchange rate under $1k for a locker fitted). The only time I notice it is going around smaller offcamber roundabouts moving slowly so either give more juice or put in clutch coast then accelerate out. If you can adjust your driving style to this small degree I would highly recomend Lucky 8 for sourcing a rear detroit.
Well according to the opp lock guy a melbourne mob will have one ready in about 3 weeks. So yes. And the price does not change. They seem to working through a series of local makes, he said they are currently doing the mitsu triton, when they are done they will get the LR one done.
In summary, Opp lock will have a LR E locker ready for sale in 3 weeks to a month.
While im at it...bendigo also recommended Truetrac F&R as opposed to Detroit rear. Aside from being a little clunkier at times, I wooda thought the detroit to be a much more durable unit. Anyone run both to compare apples with apples?
