have to agree, looking forward to the season.![]()
I wasnt a big fan of the first two seasons of Top Gear Aus, Charlie in the first season, for me, was like stroking a cat backwards, he was a tool. Jim Morrison was a step in the right direction but they were still trying to match a character to Clarkson, May and Hammond.
After watching the first episode of the third season which featured Clarkson, May and Hammond in the motoring ashes I think the producers of Top Gear Aus have hit the nail on the head. Waz is gone, thank christ, and so is James Morrison. Steve Jacobson is a great addition to the show. Steve remains, he was the only one I liked from the beginning.
The upcomming season looks great, im looking forward to it.

I'm reserving my judgement.
When I see what the Aussie producers and directors come up with i'll make up my mind. The action stuff was fine first time around, where it fell down was the linking stuff, talkin' and that.
Looks promising though.

I have to admit I didn't mind Waz. I felt he put some of his own touch into the shows.
That said, tonight's show was brilliant and I think they really have pulled the show together. The safari park was a classic because I'm sure that whilst they were trying to stage everything I doubt they really expected the footage they ended up with. They also had a wonderful entourage of Defenders![]()

i only liked waz i thought he was the only unique one
My security company did security at Lake eyre in SA.
He said it was crazy, there were so many people, it was easier to get them to join than to move them.
He said it was pretty staged but I guess they all were.
I am looking forward to them driving the 85RRC though.
Got to give it to them for trying though, bit like the british motor industry.
Good show tonight too.
I will definately give them another go.
I haven't watched it since early in the first season. It was crap.
I can't imagine it's improved.

RIP Bucko - Riding on Forever
Wasn't too bad, actually.
Although the upcoming previews looked a bit "same old, same old".
I think Top Gear Aus was disabled from the beginning, no matter what they did people were always going to compare it to Top Gear Aus and thats not really fair.
Their biggest problem in the beginning was that they tried to copy the original, right down to picking people to match the Top Gear UK team. They have finally realised that isnt working and picked 3 unique people, which is why the Top Gear UK show is so good.
If they stick to what they did tonight and come up with some cool challenges then i think this season will be a good one. The three guys definitely seem to work well together.
Looking forward to this season.
