If you do buy it remember the swimming pool is your water supply for bush-fires, and make sure you have a safe area organised for during Bush-fires. Think about joining your local bush-fire brigade. Good luck, John.

I visited the solicitor this morning & showed him the photos. Unfortunately, a fence down between the driveways is impossible, even if I gave Mr Happy access gates .
He's amazed that the council would authorise the building of a house so close to the permitted fenceline & making the garages unusable. He's suggested that i contact council & ask for their opinion on the matter - according to him, the reciprocal driveway access arrangement is their doing, not the sub-divider.
All good & valid points.
I did some thinking overnight & have thought that the cut down tree is down to Mr Happy rather than the other neighbour.
For starters, it's in a relatively isolated corner of the block so it's easily accessed by someone from outside - probably easier from outside than it is from within the block due to the bush.
I've also done some digging with the help of a friend with real estate agent contacts & have the names of both neighbours. As a result of a quick Google, I've discovered that the 'cut down tree' neighbours are respected artists - she actually won this years Dobell Prize: Suzanne Archer wins Dobell Prize for Drawing 2010 :: Art Gallery NSW
so that's another thing that leads me to think they might not be behind the tree dramas.
Yes, I've spoken with them already (and Bushie from here :)).
I thought you might like an update on this.........Mr Happy has had his house repossessed.......the auction is today:
Wedderburn, address available on request - House for Sale #110283837 - realestate.com.au
It's not advertised as a mortgagee sale but I obtained a copy of the contract - the owner is now the ING Bank.
Isn't karma a wonderful thing :D.
I'm going along to see if he'll be there ;).
more shed space hmm??
LMAO:p
there IS a shed:D:D
Why didn't this happen before you bought elsewhere? :(
is this the arsey neighbour where you would of shared a driveway?
Yep :).
Damn, Mr Happy wasn't there :(.
Oh, and it sold for $675000
