In the mid 80's a had to buy some Honda branded sealent for the Rocker cover on an XR250, the rocker cover is also the holder for the rocker shafts on the RFVC engines so you can't use a gasket, it cost $50 then!!!
probably a silmilar type of product, Loctite products aren't cheap in the Uk either although you can get some good prices on Ebay.

    Thasnks guys
I was first shown it in '93 by my then race car mechanic who also worked for a Ford Dealership.
Ford used it as an OE sealant, sold and supplied in Motorcraft branded tubes, so I had a pretty good supply for a few years

I've always used Stag on the axle flanges actually, cheap and fills in the inevitable gouges. And a tap with the hammer is enough to crack and separate it when required.

Used to be the same with XR bearings as well for the motor and gearbox. Made by Timken, stocked by them but they could not sell to anyone but an authorised Honda apare parts stockist, so then Honda could charge you 1000% more than Timken charges. A $10 bearing suddenly becomes a $110 bearing and that was in the early 90s.
