    Red diff light comes on when braking only

    Hi im not very mechanical but need my 2002 TD5 to pull my boat. I have had the 3 amigo amber lights on for a while but now the red diff lock light comes on when i brake, the manual says return to landrover as during maintenance some1 has left it in diff lock but have no idea how you lock the diffs . is this something to do with having the 3 amigos on for a while ?

    First up, make sure the transfer lever is in the unlocked position(check small sticker in front of gear levers)

    the 2002 didnt have a diff lock nor the mechanism even... it will be something else such as already suggested!

    X2, That was the problem with mine. It is like an undocumented fault code.

    Thanks everyone turned out to be a blown fuse so i had no brake lights or reverse lights
