    have you jacked it up and tried to feel for play in the wheelbearing by hand?

    Seems such a silly thing to happen to a new car, I have only ever associated collapsed and worn wheel bearings with live axel hiluxs and landcruisers... Only recently I had to oxy the inner bearing race of the outer wheelbearing off the stub axel of my brother's 75series cruiser

    If it were me I would have just driven into the dealer and said "It's making a funny noise"

    Or even better, get your wife to do it

    I'd seriously look at this option (but with a different dealer ) or this could turn into a hot potato.
