Plastic thrust bearing on Discovery 1

I was suprised My 1991 disco factory thrust has lasted untill now at 370,000km they put a plastic one in it crazy
I just made a metal one and turned it up on a lathe
and put a heavier bearing on it
I fitted an external grease nipple outsde the bell housing
big difference more quiet now and smooth
